How We Plan Every Flight

1

Check the location

Before we quote drone, we look up the airspace, any flight restrictions and the rules for that property.

2

Get permission

We need the venue or property owner’s OK to fly. A certificate of insurance is available on request.

3

Make the call on site

The pilot checks wind, weather and crowds before launch and has final say. If it isn’t safe or legal, the drone stays on the ground.

Do to weatheDued  Due to weather, FAA restrictions and venue limitations, drone footage is never promised. If something rules it out, we tell you as soon as we know.

Colorado Drone Rules Worth Knowing

Where you film decides more than the weather does. Airport airspace, stadium game days, open space bans, military bases and National Forest land all change what is possible.

These are the ones that come up most on our shoots.

  • Controlled airspace around Denver International, Centennial airport, Rocky Mountain Metropolitan and Buckley needs FAA authorization, which we request before the shoot.
  • Coors Field and Empower Field at Mile High carry FAA flight restrictions within 3 nautical miles on game days, from an hour before to an hour after.
  • Boulder bans launching or landing on City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks land. Boulder video production
  • Colorado Springs has military airspace around its bases. Colorado Springs video production
  • Mountain resorts and National Forest land often restrict drones or require permits. Mountain and Western Slope video

What Drone Costs

For events and business shoots, drone is an added on service. Most event, conference and business projects run $800 to $4,000. Real estate listing films include drone when we’re cleared to fly. Drone-only coverage is quoted by location and time on site.

Drone Videography FAQ

Are your drone pilots FAA certified?

Yes. Our pilots hold FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot certificates and our aircraft is registered with the FAA for commercial use. We will show the paperwork on request. Ask any videographer for theirs, because an uncertified pilot can get filming shut down at your event.

Often, but not always. We need the venue’s permission, the airspace has to allow it, and the weather has to cooperate.  The pilot has final say, so drone footage is never guaranteed.

FAA rules limit flying over people, so we plan aerial shots around your attendees rather than directly over them. Arrivals, exteriors and wide venue shots carry the scale of an event without it.

For events and business shoots, drone is an added on item. Most event, conference and business projects run $800 to $4,000. Real estate listing films include drone when we are cleared to fly. Drone-only coverage is quoted by location and time on site.

Yes, across Colorado and nationwide. Travel is itemized on the quote. Mountain and Western Slope shoots often need permit planning, so give us as much lead time as you can.

Yes, when the venue allows it. Drone is included in our wedding packages at no extra charge.
